The page with the Piollini from 1984 led to a contact with Mr. Luciano Piollini who kindly provided me with these pictures of frames of his more recent output. The above fillet-brazed steel frame was custom-made for a 6 year old child (20") and was featured in the show-room in Lugano in 1988.
Of the other photos Mr Piollini writes:
"The frames you see in the photos are hand-made, custom-sized, with carbon glued and bandaged tubes. These carbon frames are hand made with the same method used for the steel frames. The only difference is that the carbon frames are glued with a special material, while the steel frames are brazed. The photos from 2nd to 5th refer to the more recent carbon frames. The best solution in order to obtain the best performances is the number 4 and 5, glued and bandaged frames. The photo no 3 represents an example of carbon frame with silver parts in aluminium glued but not bandaged. The photo no 2 represents a frame with red parts in aluminium and the black part in glued carbon."
